Croisières AML inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”, “Croisières AML”) attaches great importance to the protection of personal information. Accordingly, we implement measures intended to ensure compliance with the principles and requirements relating to the protection of personal information, in accordance with applicable privacy legislation.
This privacy policy (the “Policy”) applies to any personal information that Croisières AML collects or processes about users (“you”, “your”) through its website, https://www.croisieresaml.com/, and all subdomains thereof (collectively, the “Site”). Croisières AML cares about your privacy and undertakes to protect it by adhering to this Policy.
For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means information concerning a natural person that allows that person to be identified, directly or indirectly.
By using the Site, you expressly consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information, where applicable, in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with the content of this Policy, please do not use the Site.
1. Purpose of the Policy
This Policy is intended to inform you of the manner in which your personal information may be collected, used, disclosed and otherwise processed, as well as the rights you have with respect to such information.
Our primary objective, when we collect and process personal information about you, is to provide you with a secure, efficient and personalized browsing experience, to provide the assistance requested, or to allow you to benefit from our services, all in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
The information that we collect or process about you is limited to what is necessary to achieve this objective, or to the information that you choose to provide to us. Subject to exceptions, you are not required to actively provide your personal information to browse our Site.
2. Collection and Use of Personal Information
Personal information collected or provided in connection with the Site is obtained, disclosed, retained and destroyed in accordance with this Policy. Croisières AML may also process such information in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations, including to fulfill its responsibilities. Croisières AML may collect personal information about you in the following situations:
• Comments, questions and requests for information: You may decide to provide certain personal information to Croisières AML so that we may contact you if you wish to obtain information or submit comments or requests. Your full name, email address, telephone number and any other information provided by you in the body of the message may then be collected and processed by Croisières AML.
• Employment applications: If you wish to apply for employment with Croisières AML, we will collect the personal information that you provide in support of that application. This may include your full name, email address, telephone number and résumé. This information will be used to review your application, communicate with you, validate the information provided and process your request appropriately.
• Cruise or excursion reservations: When booking a cruise or excursion, we ask you for certain personal information: your name, contact information (mailing address, email address, telephone number) and credit card number, to complete the transaction. This information will be used to process your reservation.
• Newsletter: When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address to send you periodic communications containing news, promotional offers, events or other content that may be of interest to you. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link provided for that purpose at the bottom of each email or by contacting us at: juridique@croisieresaml.com
• Social media and promotional content: When you are on board our vessels, Croisières AML may capture your image, movements or voice by means of photographs or video recordings. Such content may be used for advertising or promotional purposes, including on our social media channels. If you do not wish to appear in such content, you may notify us by writing to: juridique@croisieresaml.com. In addition, if you share photos on one of our platforms, we may wish to use those images for promotional purposes.
• Donations and sponsorships: If you wish to submit a donation or sponsorship request to Croisières AML, we will collect the personal information and various information that you provide in support of that request. This may include: the name, full address, website and social media accounts of the organization on behalf of which you are making the request, as well as the full name of the contact person, their title within the organization, email address and telephone number. Other information relating to the organization and the purpose of the request may also be collected. This information is used to review the request, communicate with you, validate the information provided and ensure appropriate processing.
• Media requests: If you wish to submit a collaboration request as a content creator, media representative or film director to Croisières AML, we will collect the personal information and various information that you provide in support of that request. This may include: your full name, full address, email address, telephone number, as well as other information relating to your project and needs. This information is used to review the request, communicate with you, validate the information provided and ensure appropriate processing.
• Service follow-up and suggestions: If you wish to submit feedback regarding your experience with Croisières AML, we will collect the personal information and various information that you provide in support of that process. This may include: your full name, email address, telephone number, the date of your cruise and your reservation number. This information is used to review your feedback, communicate with you, validate the information provided and ensure appropriate processing.
• Cruise modification request: If you wish to submit a request to modify your cruise, we will collect the personal information and various information that you provide in support of that request. This may include: your full name, full address, email address, telephone number, the date of the cruise and your reservation number. This information is used to review the request, communicate with you, validate the information provided and ensure appropriate processing.
The personal information collected may also be used and disclosed for the following reasons, in addition to the specific purposes mentioned above:
• To communicate with you regarding a matter related to your comments, questions or requests for information;
• To communicate with you regarding your reservation or Croisières AML services or products, in compliance with applicable laws, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
• To use and disclose certain information where the law authorizes or requires us to do so, including to comply with our legal and tax obligations.
• Subject to your consent, to communicate with you to send you information, promotional offers or satisfaction surveys related to the activities of Croisières AML and, where applicable, its subsidiaries or affiliated entities, in accordance with applicable laws, including Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.
3. Disclosure of Personal Information
We may need to share your personal information with third parties, including service providers, who may assist us during our activities. This may include, for example, web hosting, reservation and payment system, IT development or insurance services. Where applicable:
• Persons having access to your personal information are aware of the importance of maintaining its confidentiality and undertake to use it solely for the purposes mentioned in the agreement with Croisières AML and to provide it with the agreed level of protection, in accordance with the law.
• We limit any disclosure to what is strictly necessary and comply with the terms of your consent, subject to the purposes authorized or required by law.
• Under no circumstances do we sell, trade or commercialize your personal information to other organizations.
• We undertake to deploy all reasonably necessary measures to protect your personal information. These measures are intended, in particular, to preserve its integrity, security and confidentiality.
We may also disclose your personal information in the following circumstances: (i) in the context of legal proceedings, to a regulatory or governmental authority, a self-regulatory organization or any other person authorized to obtain it in accordance with the law; (ii) where necessary to protect our rights; or (iii) in any other situation required or provided for by law.
Your personal information may also be disclosed to service providers, such as those providing cloud services, operating outside Quebec, including in other Canadian provinces or in the United States. Although the privacy laws of those jurisdictions may not provide protections equivalent to those in force in Quebec, we take all reasonably necessary measures to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected. However, such information may be accessible to the authorities of those jurisdictions or subject to additional rules, including with respect to access.
By using the Site, you consent to your personal information being transferred outside Quebec and to the foregoing. For more information about our policies and practices regarding the transfer and processing of personal information outside Quebec and/or Canada, we invite you to contact our person in charge of the protection of personal information at Croisières AML. 4. Cookies and Other Technological Means
To ensure the proper functioning of your browsing on our Site, our servers exchange certain technical information with the browser on your device (whether a computer, tablet or smartphone). This information is stored in the form of small text files called cookies.
Necessary cookies are essential to the proper functioning of our Site. Without these cookies, our Site or certain of its features may not function properly. For example, these cookies are essential to ensure the security and consistency of our Site. Their activation is therefore mandatory.

Croisières AML uses Google Analytics to better understand the use of the Site and improve the browsing experience. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect certain information, such as pages visited, interactions with the Site, time spent on certain pages, Internet Protocol address, type of operating system used and your approximate location. This information may be used to produce statistics, measure Site performance and better understand users’ interests. Croisières AML may also use other technological tools provided by third parties, such as Google Ads/DoubleClick, HubSpot, StackAdapt and reCAPTCHA. These tools may use cookies, pixels, identifiers or similar technologies to measure the performance of our campaigns, personalize or deliver advertising content, manage certain communications or forms, improve the user experience, or protect the Site against abuse, spam and automated access.
Information collected through these tools is processed in accordance with the applicable consent settings and the privacy policies of the relevant providers. Some of these providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada, depending on their own practices and technological infrastructures.
Many web browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies or delete certain cookies. You may also be able to manage other tracking technologies in the same manner. However, please note that if you choose to disable or delete certain cookies, you may experience difficulties browsing our Site or using certain of its features.
5. Social Media
Croisières AML uses social media platforms that allow you to follow it and add it to your contact list. Croisières AML has access to Internet pages and profiles according to the settings you have selected, as described in the privacy policies and terms of use of those platforms. In addition, Croisières AML receives notifications and access to links and/or other publications in which it has been identified. It is important to review the privacy settings of your social media accounts or pages to verify the information to which Croisières AML has access and to limit such access, if necessary. This allows you to control shared data and protect your privacy according to your preferences. By adjusting these settings, you can better manage who may see your information and interact with your content.
Please note that Croisières AML is not responsible for the personal information management practices of these social media sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
6. Our Security Measures for the Preservation of Your Personal Information
Croisières AML is responsible for protecting the personal information under its legal custody. To that end, Croisières AML has:
• Designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information;
• Implemented policies and procedures concerning the protection of personal information;
• Deployed reasonable security measures to preserve the personal information under its control, including that collected and processed through the Site. Personal information is archived in a reasonably secure environment, according to its nature. In addition, we limit the collection of personal information in accordance with this Policy with respect to the Site. Our policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and improved as needed.
These include, without limitation:
• Physical measures such as restricted access;
• Organizational measures such as access limited according to employees’ “need to know” and the application of policies concerning personal information security;
• Technological measures, including the use of computer passwords, encryption of the most sensitive data, secure transmission and backup of data and recovery procedures;
• Destruction of personal information once the purposes for which it was collected have been fulfilled, to prevent access by unauthorized persons.
Only our employees, as well as any consultant, service provider, partner or any other duly authorized third party (collectively, the “Subcontractors”), may have access to personal information in our custody or under our control. We require all Subcontractors who process personal information to implement appropriate precautionary measures to ensure the security and protection of personal information.
Despite all efforts made to preserve the confidentiality of your personal information, it is possible that third parties may unlawfully intercept information transmitted on our Site or that a security breach may occur in our systems. Consequently, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information.
6.1. Confidentiality Incident
If Croisières AML has reason to believe that a confidentiality incident involving personal information has occurred, it will take reasonable measures to reduce the risk of injury and prevent further incidents. If the incident presents a risk of serious injury, Croisières AML will notify the Commission d’accès à l’information and the persons concerned. Croisières AML may also notify any person likely to reduce that risk (by disclosing only the personal information necessary). Finally, Croisières AML will comply with all other legal requirements in such circumstances.
6.2. Limitations
No technology—and no other service/platform or method of delivery—is ever infallible or fully protected against unforeseeable events, cyberattacks (and other unlawful acts) or failures, and users must be aware that there is a risk associated with any transmission of data, including electronic transmission. Croisières AML therefore cannot guarantee that such data, including personal information, will never be intercepted or subject to other incidents. In addition, events affecting devices and systems, including those leading to access to and control of them, may occur, and unwanted communications and invitations may be received. If users receive a communication that appears to come from Croisières AML requesting financial information or any other personal information, such users must refrain from responding to that communication. Croisières AML will never request financial information or other information in this manner. Users who have disclosed personal information in response to a communication, pop-up window or suspicious website claiming to be affiliated with Croisières AML, or who have observed any of the events described above materialize, must contact Croisières AML immediately.
It is also each person’s responsibility to take the reasonably required measures to protect their personal information.
7. Retention of Your Personal Information
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected, or for a longer period if required or permitted by law (e.g., to comply with our legal obligations, protect our rights and ensure the implementation of this Policy). When your personal information is no longer required, we implement reasonable measures to destroy it securely, subject to exceptions provided by law.
8. Third-Party Websites
Our Site may include hyperlinks to websites operated by third parties. By clicking on these hyperlinks, you will leave the Croisières AML site to access third-party sites, which are not covered by this Policy and may be subject to different personal information protection policies and practices. We recommend that you consult the privacy policies of those other sites before providing personal information. Croisières AML provides these hyperlinks for informational purposes and for your convenience only. Croisières AML is not responsible for those sites, including with respect to their personal information collection, use and disclosure practices.
9. Your Rights
9.1. Consent
Consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information may be given in various ways, implicitly or explicitly. You may consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in various circumstances, including when you:

• Submit an unsolicited application or apply for one of our open positions;
• Request information.
In the event that your personal information is used or disclosed for purposes other than those specified in this Policy, Croisières AML is required to obtain your prior consent (implicit or explicit), unless the disclosure, collection or other processing of personal information is authorized or required by law.

9.2. Withdrawal of Consent
Your personal information belongs to you. Subject to legal requirements, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the collection, use, disclosure or any other processing of your personal information. We will process your request as soon as possible.
You may contact us at any time to modify the personal information that you wish to share. We will process your request as soon as possible.
In such case, we may be unable to provide you with certain services or assistance if your information was required. We will explain the consequences of your decision at that time so that you may make an informed choice.
9.3. Access to Personal Information
Under privacy laws, you have rights relating to the personal information that we hold about you. These rights include the right to:
• Request access to your personal information;
• Request correction of your personal information;
• Request that dissemination of your personal information cease or that it be de-indexed from any hyperlink that allows you to be identified;
• Withdraw your consent;
• File a complaint concerning the processing of your personal information.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal information remains accurate, complete and as up to date as possible. We update your personal information to the extent required by law or when we receive an update from you. To help us maintain the accuracy and currency of your personal information, please inform us as soon as possible of any change so that we may update our records.
If you wish to request access to the personal information concerning you that is in our custody or under our control, make changes to it or exercise any other right, please submit your request in writing to our person in charge of the protection of personal information. In all cases, we will process requests for access or changes in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

If you have concerns, questions, requests or complaints regarding the Policy or the management of your personal information, if you wish to access your personal information, contest its accuracy, modify it or withdraw your consent, please contact our person in charge of the protection of personal information at juridique@croisieresaml.com.
Our person in charge of the protection of personal information will review the complaint and may, if necessary, contact you to obtain any other required information. A communication will be sent to you to inform you of the outcome of the investigation. If you have a complaint regarding the processing of your personal information, you may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information. In such case, the complaint must be submitted in writing according to the applicable process (see, in particular, the information available here).
11. Modification of the Policy
Croisières AML reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time. Such modifications will be posted on our Site and will take effect upon publication. We will take reasonable measures, if necessary, to inform the persons concerned of any material modification. If you do not agree with these modifications, you must cease accessing and using the Site before such changes come into force; thereafter, any access or use will constitute acceptance of these amendments.
