Avoid urban traffic and hop aboard a river shuttle, by bike, in-line skates, or on foot, to connect the Old Port of Montréal, Île Sainte-Hélène (Parc Jean-Drapeau), and Longueuil in as little as 5 minutes. An eco-friendly and affordable alternative to the bridge, and the fastest way to reach Parc Jean-Drapeau on summer weekends. Service offered by Croisières AML, in collaboration with the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM).
Line N4 – Regular route: Old Port ↔ Île Sainte-Hélène ↔ Longueuil. Departures on the hour, in both directions.
Line N5 – Express route: Old Port ↔ Île Sainte-Hélène, departures every 30 minutes on weekends and holidays.

First departure at 9:00 a.m. from the Old Port, last departure at 10:00 p.m. (Thursday to Sunday in high season). Île Sainte-Hélène → Longueuil takes about 15 minutes; Old Port → Longueuil, 20 minutes with a stop at the island. Reservation required for all crossings. See detailed schedule
The "1-ride, river shuttle" ticket, priced at $7, allows you to board all shuttles.
Weekly, monthly, and 4-month All modes A passes, as well as monthly All modes AB, ABC, or ABCD passes, allow you to board the shuttles.
Access to the river shuttles is free at all times for children 11 and under, if accompanied by a person aged 14 or older responsible for their supervision. This person must hold a valid, validated fare product and may not accompany more than 5 children.
Hop off the shuttle and roll straight onto Greater Montréal's bike network. Route Verte #5 hugs the St. Lawrence River, Route Verte #1 runs north-south, and the Lachine Canal bike path (11.5 km) takes you west across the city.

River shuttles are, for the most part, wheelchair- and mobility-accessible.
Please note, however, that boarding is not possible for people with reduced mobility at the Île Sainte-Hélène dock. We recommend contacting one of our agents before booking to confirm accessibility for your specific route.
Yes. Reservations are required for all trips on the river shuttle connecting Montreal, Île Sainte-Hélène and Longueuil. We recommend booking your seat in advance, especially on weekends and during the summer season.

The fare is $7 per person, per trip, regardless of the route taken between Montreal, Île Sainte-Hélène and Longueuil. Children under 12 travel free when accompanied by an adult.
The river shuttle is part of the ARTM public transit network. Selected transit fares loaded onto an OPUS card are accepted on Route N4 (Montreal - Île Sainte-Hélène - Longueuil) and Route N5 (Montreal - Île Sainte-Hélène Express). Eligible fares vary depending on your fare type and travel zones.
